I am a qualified Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria with almost sixteen (16) years working experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, rooted in risk management, financial management & literacy, consultancy, customer service, control & compliance.

I have worked as a sales representative at Mutual Benefits Assurance Limited, utilising my acute selling skills and innovative approach to generate leads, conduct cold calls, and manage client services for five years. My broking experience with Man-Mountain & Company Limited was a selling point for my technical expertise and paved the way for my business negotiation skills and client service management. I also have experience as an insurance technical auditor with the foremost insurance company, Royal Exchange General Insurance Ltd, now known as Rex Insurance Limited. I was responsible for evaluating, assessing and reviewing the existing internal controls aimed at mitigating anticipated risks and making recommendations for the organisation. I was redeployed to the Reinsurance department at Rex Insurance, where I was responsible for implementing the company’s reinsurance philosophy and ensuring that its reinsurance arrangements were adequate, effective, and efficient.

I served as the Team Lead, Reinsurance and Special Risks at Allianz Nigeria Insurance Limited, a composite insurance company. In this role, I was responsible for designing and managing a robust reinsurance framework that ensured optimal risk transfer and underwriting capacity for the business.

Additionally, I played a pivotal role in the joint venture integration process between Allianz Nigeria Insurance and Sanlam Nigeria Insurance, serving as a core member of the technical workstream. I made significant contributions to the alignment, design, and execution of integration processes, ensuring a seamless transition and operational synergy from inception to completion.

As a trusted mentor and educator, I have been committed to nurturing the next generation of professionals in the industry in the last fourteen (14) years, delivering impactful training programs and sharing my wealth of knowledge as a dynamic and experienced facilitator at West Africa Insurance Institute WAII (in the Gambia), College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM). I also facilitate at a study centre of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) and the Chartered Institute of Pension Management of Nigeria (CIPMN)

I have been privileged to serve as a Facilitator for United Way Nigeria in partnership with the Astra Fellowship, empowering young SMEs in Insurance and Risk Management matters.

Additionally, I am a reliable partner of InsureAfrica, a movement dedicated to increasing insurance awareness and financial literacy throughout Africa.

I am a convener of Reinsurance Masterclass Series – an ecosystem dedicated to advancing practical reinsurance knowledge, fostering collaboration and addressing evolving challenges.
